BT Sunstreaker!

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

I have taken one WIP picture for your enjoyment.  I have a ways to go before I am even close to finishing.  Still needs a little bit more paint and an extra coat along w/ clearcoat.  And yes, it will bear an Autobot symbol when I am done. :clap

Man, that looks nice. One would think since Hasbro love repaints that they would have done this figure already!

The hardest part I would think, would be matching the yellow paint you are adding on the head, to the existing yellow body.  Tricky.

wow, is it me or does the yellow on that KO look really muted. Never the less great job. I think my fav part is your yellow cromed up engine

looks more golden to me

I have the KO, too - he's a nice bright yellow.  The plastic panels are unpainted but match pretty well (better than the unpainted plastic panels on most of my BTs :roll ).

Instead of yellow, I painted the side panels of his head with Tamiya's "Gold Titanium" color.  Looks pretty good.

Too match the box pictures (which I liked) I also swapped out the red plastic convertible top cover with one from an extra 'Swipe.  Gives him a red upper chest area and Autobot logo in one fell swoop.

Here's how I did mine:

Also, since the hood joint was pretty loose which caused the hood to keep banging into the back of his legs, I ended up removing it entirely so Sunstreaker could use it as a shield.

can one of you do a reverse trunk chest mod?

i reallly wanna see that

I won't be doing that with this......I did that for my BT Sideswipe.
