Transparent Green Sword for Alt WheelJack

Recommended Posts

I am looking for someone with the talent to copy the original blue sword that came with alt Wheeljack  and make it into a green tranasparent see through one to match my reprolabel set I just ordered.  If anyone has the expertise or know of someone I would be willing to pay a good amount of money  for it if it can be made.  Thanks for all of your  time and I hope to hear  from yoou soo at rob450@aol.com :wave

I can't help you, but instead of a sword consider having it be a big wrench (which seems like a better accessory for WJ).

I'm no expert on it, but I know there are ways to dye the plastic.  I'd ask the guys over in the art galleries who have some experience with this.  If I recall correctly, it works quite well with translucent plastic too.

I've never used the stuff myself, but dye sounds like it would be the most sensible solution. Copying it would probably make you end up spending alot more than you need to.

I think Chrisparasyte does that kind of thing. (Dyeing, anyway)  He's at the Allspark more than he's here though.

Since the sword is already colored... dyeing it in order to get a green it'd have to be a pretty dark green. I think when you  dye (esp. translucent parts) the color comes out as a mix of the original and the dye color... A nice emerald green from an already blue sword might be tough.

I hope it works out. But if it doesn't you can always consider painting it a nice shiny metallic green and that would be pretty cool too.

Good luck!

Why not get an extra Grimlock and use all of his red stuff in place of Wheeljack's blue crap that doesn't go with the repro labels. I know you wont have a green sword but the red one should look ok. And just so you guys all know blue and yellow make green  :P

Lmao...

I'm a little retarded sometimes?

Um, I meant a green that wasn't too dark and weird might be hard...yeah. I'll go with that one. *shifty eyes*

Not 100% sure on this but I don't think you can dye clear items without turning it into a solid color. I do have plans though to repro the Grimlock/WJ sword as soon as my WJ gets here along with the back of his head so his eyes will glow. Just some FYI :)

That's the reply I was about to make.  Try some yellow dye.
