Energon influencing BT/Alternator design?

Recommended Posts

One could also argue that Energon has influenced Alternators in the name-department. Shockblast, Ravage...all based on Energon characters. Right?

I am guessing that all but Decepticharge have their roots in G1 ;)

Yeah, the names are just similarities, as are the design similarities. There are just so much ways one can hide feet inside a leg, and these 2 toys just happen to use the same basic design, that's all. Nothing intentional.

There's only so many ways you can design a car-former. I wouldn't read too much into this.

True but i was quite impressed with it on prowl and was surprised when i saw it on Downshift

I can't believe out of all the Energon toys, someone likes the Dinobots the most. ... That is the amazing part.

Not the most ;) just the only ones I had, they were rare on ebay and I got the "I gotta get it" bug ;) I actually sold them last week on ebay ;)

I have never been a Prowl Hater - I just hate that he is the only new figure from BT/Alts for the first half of 2005. (decepticharge and swerve - dont count)

and i love my Downshift - my only complaint on him is his odd trunk.  it just hangs off his back in Bot mode.

But lets face it - Energon and Alts represent the best TF designs yet.  Its not surprising that they use some of the same designs.

Why are we singling out Prowl for this foot design?  Swipes and Windcharger also have a very simmilar design to their feet

As for that crappy official Prowl...  I'll stick with my RX-8 custom.  :thumb

DLP, I think the feet on your downshift are backwards.
