Onebox Cherry Vanette(ironhide) Onebox Ambulance Type(ratchet) brothers

 

you get the point, every other diaclone car had a double or a brother, and i figure this carries over into transformers like you mentioned abpove.

 

Lio Convoy and Lio Convoy Jr I always assumed were either brothers or father and son.

I'm shure there are tons the more we look into it.

Perhaps we should negate the idea of same mold means they are related. But, then again, I'm not sure how many times the word "brother" has been used in the cartoon or comic.

The only reason anyone considers them brothers is because they're all remolds of one another (Diaclone). I never considered them to actually be family in any case -- no offense, but even if they're sentient, I don't see how they could be considered related.
