Yeah, the beasts are smaller and more energy-efficient, but it also stands to reason that they'd be a lot more powerful.  I mean, they're 4m years+ advanced.  Plus if you think about the fact that they're technology, what's more powerful: A computer from the 60's the size of your living room or a computer that can sit on your lap?

If size is an advantage in this fight what Beast Wars characters like Rhinox and Magnaboss. Rhinox is well a Rhino, and the Ironhide component of Magnaboss is an elephant. I can see these doing a significant amount of damage to a vehicle. In combined mode I can see Magnaboss holding his own against a handful of G1 bots. Seeing as he's comprised of an elephant/eagle/lion he'd probably stand taller than most G1 characters IMO.

Sheesh, where were you guys durring the Grimlock vs Dinobot poll.. :tftounge

Nah, I seriously agree though.. size is not a disadvantage unless a BW guy was pitted against say somethin like a gestalt or a city based G1 er.. I have theories that they are way more powerful and advanced than they let themselves off.. sure, maybe they need the charge their weapons up to do serious damage, but how far can that charge really go? Megs just about blew Prime's head clean off, and if he wasn't hovering, I'd almost think he could of bore a hole right through him.

Look at Shockwave and the other G1 bots that stayed on Cybertron. Technology didn't quite advance in 4 million years. I've had a problem with that even as a kid. After watching season 1 again 2 years after it aired I'm older thinking "Wait a minute! You mean to tell me Shockwave is still alive after 4 million years and still looking just as new as when Megs left his ass?"

In Universe G1ers are shown about the Size of a BW Ultra.

Tigerhawk took on the Decepticon warship Nemesis. He would whoop some G1 bots pretty bad.

Another bot who could do some damage is Rampage. He has massive firepower and an invincible spark.

Optimal Optimus could take out some of the average to smaller sized G1 bots.

Those are the only one's I see having a chance.

Somebody mentioned in another thread that Cybertron basically shut down after Prime and Megs left.

But on a world (and in a race) supported wholly by technology and science, even the few hundred years between G1 and BW should have provided a ton of advances.

Not according to "Desertion of the Dinobots"... hey let's face it, it was a bit fuzzy. I never quite understood why they had to lay dormant for four MILLION years when four hundred would have done just as well.

I always took "four million years" as a code for "A really long time".  Kinda like a few bible scholars interpret "Forty days and forty nights" as "Nobody knows how long exactly, but it was a long danm time"
