They've already got Afterburner from the technobots that looks surprisingly like a tron bike.  There are others, I'm sure.  With a quick repaint you'd have the toys for the new series.

TRONformers is amazingly close to Transformers...although I don't think PRONformers is very realistic.  Maybe PRONicons as a faction though.

In the comics, I think I remember Optimus and Megatron fighting inside of a computer game once. Then the 'Cons cheated and Prime's body was destroyed. Some human had Prime's personality stored on a computer disk so he could come back later.

And that still gets my vote as the lamest way for Prime to die ever...I never read the comics, but man that sounds awful

 

Anyway, fighting inside a virtual reality space...that'd be cool

His Body wasn't destroyed becuse Megatron Cheated, Prime won the game. He killed himself becuse he felt guilty for killing some pixels and sprites.

Issue #24. Prime sacrifices himself for some imaginary creatures.  He said something about life needing to be protected and treasured.......so he threw his away for nothing?!? 

 

...and how could Prime's life and programing fit onto a floppy disk when some games in those days like Monkey Island took 7 or 8 disks.  Then again after his suicide maybe he didnt have many 'smarts' to transfer over.  Maybe he was just a 'Speak and Spell' taped to a transport truck.

The idea of Tron and Transformers doing a crossover is a VERY serious idea indeed.

 

First off, would humans be equal to Transformers in a digital world?!!? Or would WE be their superiors?!

 

More importantly....wouldn't Tron be like "The Matrix" for transformers? And would all the autobots glow blue and the decepticons glow red?

You gotta figure the TFs have their own kind of INTERWEB that they can use to communicate with each other and share nudie pictures of the fembots.

 

I wonder if that'll be in the movie?
