Protoform Question--

Recommended Posts

Galvatron transfured the Auto-Rollers sparks to blank protoforms in BWII

There are two types of protoforms, one that has a Spark and one that doesn't, which is known as a 'blank'.  Maximals are granted protoforms by 'The Matrix/Allspark/Vector Sigma', whereas the Predacons needed to 'steal' them from the Maximals and reprogram them to be a Predacon.  The Predacons may also receive Sparks from 'The Matrix/Allspark/Vector Sigma'.

Protoforms:  From what we saw in BW, a protoform appears to be in a liquid metal state.  This is just my speculation, but since they appeared 'silver' and 'liquid-like' I think it's reasonable.

Spark Protoforms:  This protoform is capable of coming online without much work.  All that is needed is for a scan for a suitable form, or for a form to be downloaded (manually) into the Stasis Pod in which the protoform inhabits.  The result: A new Transformer comes online.

Blank Protoforms:  This protoform requires more work to bring online.  A Spark needs to be placed inside the protoform before it can come to life.  This is evidenced by Megatron in "Feral Scream, Part 1".  The protoform is so hungry for life that it quickly takes the Spark.  All that is needed now is for the desired form to be 'installed', so to speak.

A protoform already contains all the necessary components for the protoform to come online, minus the form.  In "Feral Scream, Part 1", Megatron used perhaps the only possible method to bring a blank online, atleast in Predacon terms.

As far as 'can an individual Spark be transferred to a protoform' goes, I suppose 'in theory' it could be possible.  The Spark would be transferred to a new, healthy body in which it can be 'stabilized'.

I hope this somewhat 'indepth' explanation helps.

From what I've seen (BW, RID, Armada, Energon, and GF) The whole Protoform thingy is like a blank body that is molded into whatever, be it car, plane, or animal, however like with Primal's transformation into Op op, he could change shape by scanning and assimilating Prime's spark, which is similiar to how Jackshot scanned the Liger statue and became Liger Jack, using that statue (or picture, i dont remember) as a "stepping stone" for changing shape. Other than those two cases, the 'bots and 'cons had to use some sort of device to scan for a form like the beginnig of BW, or when Inferno reformats in Energon. So, basically the protoforms need something to change shape from their current form, gooey or bot'y.

Protoforms can also scan Computer images for there alt modes like the Destrons did in BWII

Uh...that's nice...but I don't think BWII is what's being discussed here

Were discussing BW era Protoforms BWII is BW era

You realize most people here don't know jack about BWII, I hope.

Were discussing BW era Protoforms BWII is BW era

But how many people have actually seen or know anything about BW2?  Not many I would gather.

What EM said. I think most people here are thinking in terms of the US BW/BM...I know it's hard for you to think in terms of US TFs, BoB, but for once, please, please try.
