G1 TF Scale sheets

:grr  :demon

Pick ANY RANDOM Screencap and it will most likely follow this scale.

:tflaugh

PWNED :lol

He usually is. ;)

And he was shown several random screenshots the LAST time we argued about this in the shoutbox.   Prime was 3 different sizes (I particularly liked the one where Prime was kneeling beside Spike and/or Sparkplug, and the humans barely came to his knee, if that...), at least.

Then Bobby put up a poll to decide who was right, and I won that, too.

X-BoB is very rarely right about anything he starts a debate over with me (or anyone else).

He still believes "translucent" means "colored," for cryin' out loud.

(yeah, yeah.. my fingers got ahead of me.  and what time-zone is the board running in?  'Cause according to it, I posted this yesterday at 11:21 pm, and I don't get off work until 11:30pm.  :P)

Was all this scaling used for the orignal show or just by some fan? Because they seem pretty accurate. But thats just my opinion. Also, ive seen better scaling in the DW comics.

I have an explanation for the size inconsistency: mass-shifting. :D

It looks like one of the outlines in the 2nd scale pic is of the G1 train gestalt. Could these have been made for the later Japanese G1 shows? Were they any better for size consistency?

I dunno which show those scale sheets were used for (like a little detail like that ever stops Bob from trying to use something to back himself up.. :punch)--if any, but according to the Marvel comics (which Bobby insists is more accurate/whatever than the cartoon), Buster(Spike) comes to about Ratchet's knee.  Assuming Buster is just under 6' tall (he -is- a high-school student), and judging from the fact that Ratchet is about 3 times taller than Buster, then Ratchet is roughly 18' tall.

According to those scale sheets, if Prime is only 6 meters tall, that makes him 19.8' tall, and Prime is more than 1.8' taller than Ratchet and most of the other Autobots.

Which, once again, jibes with what I've been saying all along, and that is that prime is about 10 meters, NOT 6.  (and that is also the figure that won in X-Bob's poll.  ;))

Deal with it, kid, and move on.    :P

In case you had ANY doubts about Unicron and Cyberton in terms of size...

Stupid dead image host...it's fixed now, I hope.

The first page of that site says he thinks they're from the movie, which would seem to be right, since it includes Unicron, Quintessa, Cyclonus, Scourge, Arcee, Blurr, Kup....

And it isn't the least bit "accurate".
