since december my local walmart hasnt had any new alts since meister today i just happened to walk down th tformer isle and they had one wheeljack whicj ive been wanting as badly as the next person...but the skipped over every alt in between and i got him home and opened him up....was he really worth all the hype?

Judging from the pictures, I prefer Grimlock over Wheeljack as far as the Mustangs go.

 

That being said, Grimlock is my favorite Alternator, so Wheeljack would have to be a damn fine figure.

I have both Grimlock and Wheeljack. To me, Wheeljack makes Grimlock look plain.

 

But then some people might like the silver paint scheme better. Personally I think the Cobra stripes are awesome, and the white is more "pearl" than the gloss white used on Meister. Overall an awesome figure.

 

There's no doubt in my mind that this mold was initially designed for Grimlock, what with the shape of the gun, and the sword. But ever since an Alt Mustang was announced I was hoping it would be Wheeljack, and... ta-da! :thumb He looks great to me.

I thought it would have made a great Shockwave, but Wheeljack is now tied withHound as my favorite Alt. The design and look in bot mode is just so...complete.

 

There is very little they could have done more to improve it IMO, where as some of the other Alts seem to be lacking in one or two areas (arm articulation leg articulation, etc...)

 

Wheeljack, Hound and Tracks are like mini Masterpieces.

The paint job alone makes this a must have figure for me. I've turned my area upside down looking for one with no luck. 11 Target stores, 4 Walmarts, 4 TRU's, 2 K-Marts and a KB toys and nadda.  :wtf

 

What's funny is that earlier last week I checked the closest Target to me and they only had a Sideswipe and Windcharger, a few days later I checked again and they had a Ravage, since they hadn't had any Ravages in a long time that can only mean they put out a case with WJ in it and I frickin missed it!  :grr

Join the club.  I missed WJ in two stores yesterday.  I don't expect I'll get another chance till the next case gets stocked, when and if that ever happens.

Wheeljack is the better color, more appropriate for the character and is an easy kitbash into Breakdown if u don't like him
