please bare in mind that this idea is for a new japanese tf show.

ok, first off, there's no autobots. that's right, none. the japanese prefer their heros to be 15-year-old humans so we'll give them what they want.

now, Earth is invaded by alien robots called decepticons who have the abillity to disguise themselves as common earth vehicles. to combat the threat, the world governments create a team of highly trained sentai that are equipped with technology semilar to the Bisars from Amdriver, ie, one-man vehicles that can become weapons and armor for the sentai. later on, the vehicular "Bisars" could be up-graded to large, robotic animal side-kicks that the sentai can still ride on and can still use as weapons and armor.

now what do you think?

regardless of what we personally think, the japanese would probably be all over it like mustard on a hot dog.

You make a good point, but of course I am not too fond of the

15 year old human scenario.  That would not stop me from watching

because it sounds interesting.

it sounds intresting...BUT NOT FOR A NEW TF SHOW!!!! no Autobots = VERY BAD!

oh there could be Autobots, just not as we know them. They could be the mindless weapons the kids could use. It's like, the Decepticons are robots, and the Autobots were the weapons on the ship the Decpeticons were on. But as the ship was crashing, they fell off. Then some kid of a Japaneese Government person went out and found them. The weapons then scanned the kid and accepted him. The kid then took each to his/her friends and they each got one.

Those kids would then adapt their own icon from these weapons and their bad skills at drawing. Hence the birth of the Autobot logo (a really bad version... similar to the Beast Machines logo for the [maximals? i can't remember what they were called] or something along those lines).

And the Decepticons didn't have a logo, till they saw the kids and their logo. so they need one for themselves. and do a bad knock off of the kid's design.

Sounds like standard anime. Meh,  :tdown

is it so heretic to say i never watched a tf show after the first 3 seasons of G1?

all i saw was some beast wars since my little brother used to watch them sometimes so being in the same room i happened to see some.

so considering this... i don't know how much keen i would be with no autobots and these toddlers fighting the decepticons.

just IMO.

(i think i saw some armada episodes few months ago but the dubbing was so lame and also the manga shaped drawings made me puke.)

well as far as you agree armada show sucks its ok. lol

armada had it's ups and downs....well mainly downs. but had some cool toys. Imagine how Energon would have been, had they not already had a Unicron mold?

it wouldnt be a TF show. it would go by other names. a lot of shows happen to have parts of this.
