how can you NOT vote for the guy who looks like a Galvatron's cannon and is named after lube??

A disturbing comment from a guy who took his name from Mr MANhammer :P

I was tempted to go with Optimus, or even Grimlock, but I figured they'd get enough votes as it is.  So I stuck with the rank and file and from that perspective, it was an easy choice.  Sideswipe all the way.

Toy - Far and away the best looking vehicle mode - it's a Lamborghini Countach for crying out loud, and unlike Sunstreaker, it looks like a Countach.  It's dead on accurate, and the colors are ideal for the car.  His robot mode is also better than any other initial G1 TF.  Stable and athletically built, Sideswipe just looks like a badass.  So many of the original Autobots were so mis-shapen and odd looking, but this guy looks like a light heavy weight boxer.

Character - While he was given very little exposure on the show (my theory is that Hasbro, for the most part, was using the show to sell those toys that had difficulty selling themselves like Ironhide, the minibots, etc. - Sideswipe didn't have this problem), he had by far the best characterization on the tech spec.  A two fisted brawler who really wasn't that big of a prick at heart, like his sociopathic brother.

Hmm, well for the ones you listed above my favorite is Hoist, say what you want, but I think hes pretty cool.

Wow, and here I was thinkin I was the only hoist fan on this whole board  :thumb

I would have voted Wheeljack - although he has proportionately longer arms than most apes.

I had to say warpath simply because they never reused the name after that.
