Why is poseability & articulation important?

Recommended Posts

*edit* Mine was a reply to honets threat before the merge*

if it doesnt have articulation or you dont want articulation buy a actual housebrick and call it Star Convoy, save yourself a ton of money :roll

Its not a case of articulation for the sake of it but if there is a decent looking toy that has had articulation dialed into it at the engineering stage and it all works to form a coherant whole then i can respect and admire the work gone into it, and to use it in its true form as a transformer (I.E 2 forms, and you can pose it, you cant pose a statue).  i cant respect the work thats gone into a 2 move transformer, thats pure lazyness.

I can also respect of engineering at the time of the relevant toys inception, i.e the late 70s and see that they had a high level of design in there work.

You dont even seem to be arguing anything, moreso a case of just winding people up with inane statements "

unless they are bt/alt/mp, then those toys aren't really being designed with the need for decent posing in mind. and look, alt/bt/mp has articulation out the wazoo!

The majority of TFs since g2 have all been very well articulated and designed with inherant poseability, even with the superlink gimmicks which compromises design the figures (majority) still had great articulation and poseability.

LOL! Or Grandus.

Seriously, what's the point of having a robot if you can't get it to hold a gun and raise it and point it to an enemy?

which SC can do :P

i only hope when i pick up something new, that it has good articulation.if it does'nt i dont cry a river (i hate that song) i just hope that soon it will be more used on all of the parts

DLP explained the whole thing to me. in G1, the kids didn't care about articulation because they had their imaginations, just like the kids that the modern tf toys are aimed at. the whole thing reek of hypocripsy on the fans' part.

Why does it? Please explain your blanket statement with some well thought out and logical reasoning.  G1 was as articulated as was conceivable possible given the technology and cost factors involved, little has changed but the technology.

I would be interested in reading the research that you have complied/drawn upon involving child psychology and toy marketing strategies that you have used to make these claims.

god, don't be such a stuck up. if i said "it looks like it was going to rain", would you refuse to believe me unless i had access to metrological charts, sattillite images, and a url to a weather webiste or would you just look up in the damn sky to see if it was cloudy?

so you are just calling people hypocrites for the sake of it? To use your analogy of looking up in the sky for information I ask you where you get your information from? the sky seems most likely as you just seem to make inane comments.
