Anyway, talk about a useless third mode. if you can turn into a tank, why would you also want to turn into a gun? Wouldn't it be better to just *have* a gun so you could shoot stuff yourself?

I voted alligator mode from Beast Wars in the movie, so that we can have a cameo scene by the Crocadile Hunter :tftongue

 

Croc Hunter: "Oy! Ain't she a beaut!"

 

Megs: " That's right get closer flesh bag, yesss"

Sure. But then I wouldn't have been able to smash the orange barrel into billions of pieces by running with Galvatron as a gun when I was six.

 

Again, start asking questions like this and you'll start wondering why Megatron only let the guy who was constantly trying to stab him in the back shoot him in gun mode. Or why he needed to transform at all, considering how strong his arm cannon was. Megatron was a gun because Takara had a previously existing gun robot who fit the line.
