Oh, one other question.

The first item I plan to paint (with Krylon Fusion) has some loose limbs.  Would you expect a few coats of Fusion to stiffen them up, or would I probably still want to use some nail polish on the really loose ones?

I'd just paint it and see if it works.  If you wait the 7 days for the Fusion to become chip-resistant, then (theoretically) the paint should stay on the (I assume) ball and/or socket.

If it still rubs off, then the clear nail-polish (I recommend Sally Hansen's 30-second Top Coat) will do the trick.

I'm more asking if the added paint will stiffen a loose joint, not so much whether the paint will chip off.  :)

It might, or it might glue the joint shut altogether if done wrong.

i love fusion. it costs more, but can you really put a price on quality?

The point of my suggestion to wait the seven days for chip-resistance is 'cause if the paint rubs off the first time the joint is used, then no, it won't tighten the joint.  ;)

ok, went in search of fusion....and Wal-Mart was sold out  :tfsad

But I do have good news....Bought a Landquake and have begun taking him apart for his repaint and remolding job.

he's going to be made into Ultra Magnus. And the "Trailer" part of 'quake will be redone to be a roll back flatbed towtruck. Might try to do something special with the front "feet" of 'quake, but don't know.

anyways. Know where you can get more Fusion?
