BT-13 Laserwave released

BT-13 Laserwave was released in Japan today. His liscence plate has been changed from SHKWAV on the Alt version to LWAVE for the BT. Pics here at http://www.fantofan.jp/.

Laserwave was Shockwave's name in Japan.

There's no "name change" as far as Takara is concerned. For the same reason, earlier releases were named "Lambor" and "Streak".

So much for the moment: The question where the BT story fits is finally going to be solved in chapter 10 of the Binaltech story. :)

But if Hasbro can call Shockblast 'Shkwav' or whatever was on the plate, why can't Takara simply do the same??? Unlike with the Windcharger/Overdrive difference, Shockblast and Laserwave are supposed to be the same character. Quite disappointed about this as I only collect BTs and shockwave is one of my favourite characters. Lwave = lame-wave. (as far as the plate's concerned)

WHY should Takara call him "Shockwave" when the character was always named "Laserwave" in Japan?
