Meh, I think there's plenty of people here that feel this way- even those of us who do get lost in the shuffle. We say, "yeah they're toys, but I still want to get caught up in the fandom cuz it roxxorz and stuff"- just find the balance between the two.

 

Thanks OT, it's nice to have a thread like this every once in a while, especially now when all this is going on.

 

 

P.S.- I liked how in Murphy's recent "ask me eight questions about the movie" thread that he bascially said "I mentioned my wife was very sick, and you bunch of heartless douches are just asking movie questions." :tflaugh Poor fella.

Seriously people, there is enough stress in life for all of us. We don't need to be adding more to it. Just be glad that there's a hobby for you to be involved with and take it as it comes.

Maybe I am a little too passionated with my TFs, but I have grown to be a very demanding man.  :tfgrin I don't care what Transformers are or what the target audience is, as long as I am satisfy with the product. But I must state that while must of the produtcs I have bought are quite satisfying, I think they could have been better without making very expensive modifications.

 

The only thing I may be frsustrated by is my economical situation: being a part-timer struggling to pay bills and get my "TransFix" is not easy. And things are getting harder by each passing day. :tfmad :tdown

 

For the record, I must state that I don't think current TFs are bad. There are LOTS of them I want to add to my collection... BADLLY  :tflaugh Even if they're not up to my scale of satisfaction.

 

One last thing: if being an obsessed fan makes me a weirdo, let it be! I REFUSE to be another mindless drone of this society, that dictates how grown man should behave and what hobbies to have!

No offense but these kind of threads are a dime a dozen.

The sentiment is shared by tons of fans but that doesn't stop the silly whining. It never will.

I'll deal, but only because Gonzo's Galaxy Force Anime seems to be a step up in quality from the previous kiddie s***.

Outside of cringing at the use of "STFU", I totally agree with your post Ol' Timer.  Although it may be a dime a dozen Cheetimus, and many may share the thoughts...it needs to be said from time to time, regardless.

 

Let's enjoy our hobby and not hate on it.

 

As an aside, Darknarkoleptic, I noted the same thing.  Here is a guy doing what most Directors wouldn't, giving a big bone to the fanbase, and all the fans cared about was info and not him.  We are a very 'self' motivated society.  It is sad really.

I have been thinking the same thing.  The main reason it took me so long to join Transformer sites. I thought the complaing at work was bad but DAMN this site takes the cake.  Even before the fat lady.
