Universe not cancled

I seriously doubt that the status of a line would be different on a computer screen of a customer service rep than of another computer within the company. I'm sure the customer service rep wouldnt have all the bits and pieces of info. However I do belive the status would be the same as I am sure customer service reps have to answer from retail more than the average consumer. I remember when I worked retail we often called the same customer service numbers as availible to the customer for info about items. Hell when I have to call vendors now from my military supply job, I still have to call the same customer service line. Status is status.

All I know is its in their computers that the line is still active. Thats exactly what that email told me. There is prototypes of toys showing up still. Not to mention Blastcharge has been sighted. Looks like it is still going to me. If things change, then thats fine. But as of this morning when I got that email, its still an active line. Maybe after I get Blastcharge and Devestator I will write again just to see if the line was just active for the duration of their shipments which is a possibility that I accept as a reality. However since the rumors have been saying that Universe is over, then more stuff pops up such as toys in package and more prototypes. That tells me it still has something left in it. Which is what I said in my initial post. I said it aint over yet. Meaning we look to have something left in it. If its over after this last batch of stuff, then hey. Then it's over.

But untill then, it don't look to be over yet.

I'm mostly interested in those Seacons. I have some of them, but I'm not sure I ever completed the set. Most of the figures in Universe didn't hold my interest, to be honest. They aren't bad toys, just most of the paint jobs/molds don't really do it for me...

This may offer a small glimmer of hope, but it's very, very small. Hasbro probably just doesn't want to officially kill off the Universe line, since it could still be used for convention exclusives and such, but we haven't seen any new products for months and the ones we've seen have either been released or cancelled. Considering this is an all-repaint line, prototypes should be popping now if the Universe line is still alive. I want it to still be alive, I really do.

The "Robots in Disguise" line was 'active' until fall last year, well within Energon's run... so take the 'Universe line is active' with a grain of salt. Unless you get release dates for upcoming figures - the corporate answer isn't worth all that much.

WOOOO!!!! :clap I'm quite relieved to hear that :D Maybe now they'll continue sticking in the beautifully colored G1 molds that've been dancing in my brain lately :yay

Not to mention, of course, Piranacon and the Devie flavored build team :yay

They didn't address the Seacons at all in their response. Besides, they were supposed to be an Energon release.

When I called Hasbro, I got nearly the same responce. I had asked about the G1 reissue Sideswipe and they said it should have been mass released. I'm wondering if TRU didn't have something to do with where they distributed them. As far as the Universe line goes, I was given nearly the same information as stated here. They said the line should be ongoing, even though certain figures such as Spacewarp were not to be released. Here's my opinion. I like Universe. If more of you do, I suggest you show interest in the line or it may very well be on it's way out. Call Hasbro. Everyone should. Make sure they know that there are plenty of people interested in the line. I don't see a boat load of Universe warming shelves in my area. It can't be a total bust.

True, the distributors are also a problem, either by holding back on items or just loosing items in the system (a very common problem).

I've seen Universe Blastcharge for sale in an importshop in Amsterdam. It's bloody Ugly, but it's released.

Cool, I would like to add it to my collection but no importshops here.

Hopefully eBay.

I hope the Universe Line continues with Sixwing and Sixtrain. They could also release a lot of other cool figures because there are plenty of cool Transformers out there.

How many would like to see Overlord re-released? Not that it would ever happen. :-P
