Another thing, in japan the title of Convoy aqnd the Matrix wern't exclusive to one bot,  prettymuch all comenaders of Starships had the title Convoy, and a Fragment of the G1 Matrix.

According to the comic included to the Leader-2-pack (Bat Primal and Croc-Megs) said toys are indeed incarnations of the original G1 characters. However, nothing was said about the Ape and T-Rex being incarnations of their namesakes.

 

As for Dargon-Megatron: He fused with whatever was inside of G1 Megatron, then was droppen into the Lava. The combination of both those events resulted in Megs becoming a dragon. But no-where he has been stated as being a TM2. It may fit the look of a TM2, but officially he's not. Same for Tigerhawk: Looks Transmetal2, but in fact isn't.

 

And, as for Prime not shouting out "Arise ....": Who says he didn't? He might have said something like that, but only Primal could hear it, just like the situation in TF:TM.  :P

originally the toyline was meant to be g3 (as original tech specs show) by the time the transmetals had appeared though hasbro were using the tv show continuity to come up with the techs

 

Primal did not become a prime and never was, like megatron his name was just a memorial to the leader from g1. his body modified to allow him to take an extra spark into his body.

Actually, not everyone. Dinobot, for instance, had his name revealed to the audiance by Megatron, thus we can savely assume his name was Dinobot before he landed on earth, and that he had not assumed the naem upon landing on the planet. If you look at his name, it literally means "Terrible Bot", and besides the Dinosaurs sharing the same prefix, they don't necissarily have anything in common.

 

Primal could have been Optimus Primal before arriving on Earth. The only names we are sure of that are taken on, are those that actually tell us that they have assumed new names. (Like Cheetor saying "You can call me Cheetor". Atrleast, I think it was Cheetor. It's 4 AM, memory is a but clogged.)

 

As for Beast Wars: The TFs are G3, in the sense that the story plays out after G1. The Cartoon featured only a very limited amount of TFs. The others have been in the "future", 300 years after the Great War had ended, and where the BW Max originally come from, There, Prime and Megs are still duking it out on Earth, in these organic Beastmodes, the Bat and the Gator, while other Maximals & Predacons, without organic Altmode, stay away from Earth. Only those with organic Alt-modes can get to Earth, because they still need to keep in disguise, because the Humans no longer want them on their planet. THat is the reason why Depthcharge would not have been allowed to come close to the Sol-system.

 

Sorry, like I said, it's late, and then my mind wonders off to the weirdest places, following the freakiest trails. Add to that that I'm dutch, and you got one heck of an imagination running amok. :P

the matrix also contained primes spark they were as one.  and prime was rebuilt that way he was by alpha trion.  and even if prime did grow after accepting the matrix he died so his circuits couldnt  "reboot" him to his original form of orion pax.  and hot rod probably shrunk because the technology was archaic and BW was 300 years afterthe great war so it possibly had the ability to keep upgrades without major rebuilding
