Optimus Prime did NOT say something like "Arise Optimal Optimus Prime" when Primal held the Matrix like Prime did for Hot Rod.

Just my theory anyway...

If you don't agree, feel free to do this :demon

and this :tard

and this :punch

and this :stone

and this  :inhpoo

(I 've wanted to use those smilies for a while and couldn't find a good reason)

Megatron had more Exposore to the TM2 driver than Primal, seein as he found and experimented with it. Tigertron was a TM2 b/c the Vok helped in his creation.

Yeah but the toys list Megatron and Tigerhawk as Transmetals 2. The show never mentions anything about it. Technically, Optimal Optimus is just a regular Transmetal... so there's some inconsistency between the toys and the "official show explanation".

Anyway, TM2 technology wouldn't have been involved in the creation of Tigerhawk, since it was a twisted version of the Vok's technology developed by Megatron. Dinobot was Megatron's TM2 creation; Cheetor and Blackarachnia were inadvertently changed by the same technology. According to the show, those were the only Transmetals 2.

Primal's not a prime because he's a monkey and it's a clever play on words.

He was Primal before he was a MUNKY.... :eek

However, Optimus Primal's original tech spec is a funny read... I guess Hasbro's initial thought was that Beast Wars would be like "Transformers Generation 3" or something, since Optimus Primal WAS Optimus Prime on the tech spec (same for Megatron).

I think we're all glad it didn't work out that way.

I'd like to think of Primal as an official Prime.  He really turned out to be the best leader anyway, in the long run.

According to the comic included to the Leader-2-pack (Bat Primal and Croc-Megs) said toys are indeed incarnations of the original G1 characters. However, nothing was said about the Ape and T-Rex being incarnations of their namesakes.

As for Dargon-Megatron: He fused with whatever was inside of G1 Megatron, then was droppen into the Lava. The combination of both those events resulted in Megs becoming a dragon. But no-where he has been stated as being a TM2. It may fit the look of a TM2, but officially he's not. Same for Tigerhawk: Looks Transmetal2, but in fact isn't.

And, as for Prime not shouting out "Arise ....": Who says he didn't? He might have said something like that, but only Primal could hear it, just like the situation in TF:TM.  :P

There was never any proof Hotrod actually heard Prime burping he should arise, so there isn't any reason to believe Primal did. But hearing problems aside, why would Prime say to himslef he should arise? Since Primal and Prime got in to the same body, there wasn't any change of commander. I guess Primal changed in to his optimal self was 'cause the presence of two sparks was a bit too much for his small body. Now maybe if Primal where to fuse with bumblebee, it ALL would have been diffrent.

Thing is G1 Megs = Spark.

The toys state Dragon Megs was a TM2. Tigerhawk has definite areas that are TM2.

Eh, I could never tell the difference between them anyway.

(neither could the animators...)

To get REALLY fanboyish, notice Rodimus' spoiler in TF:TM when he super-sizes... it's different b/c the toy's spoiler is different.

viz:

In the TV show they just used Hot Rod's spoiler. In fact, I think the only difference between Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime in the TV show was the lines on his face.)

Hot Rod was more magenta color and didnt have lines in his face, Rodimus was maroon and had lines near his mouth.  That was pretty much the only difference

You got the touch

   You got the power

After all is said and done

You've never walked, you've never run,

   You're a winner

You got the moves, you know the streets

Break the rules, take the heat

   You're nobody's fool

You're at your best when when the goin' gets rough

You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

   You got the touch

   You got the power

   When all hell's breakin' loose

You'll be riding the eye of the storm

   You got the heart

   You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough

   You got the touch

You never bend, you never break

You seem to know just what it takes

   You're a fighter

It's in the blood, it's in the will

It's in the mighty hands of steel

   When you're standin' your ground

And you never get hit when your back's to the wall

Gonna fight to the end and you're takin' it all

   You got the touch

   You got the power

   When all hell's breakin' loose

You'll be riding the eye of the storm

   You got the heart

   You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough

   You got the touch

   You're fightin' fire with fire

You know you got the touch

You're at your best when when the road gets rough

You've been put to the test, but it's never enough
