Well...it took me all of about two weeks, but I'm finally nearing the end of my first kitbash/repaint. :tftongue

 

I started with removing the decals from Alt. Smokescreen's body, and began painting them red using Krylon Fusion paint. This is my first time using the stuff...but it turned out pretty good.

 

I finished by adding some gold pinstriping to the side fenders, front windshield, arms, chest, and license plate area...

 

The only thing I am waiting on is a way to re-create the flame deco from Energon Rodimus.

 

I decided on making him Ergon Hotrod, because the Alt. Smokescreen head sculpt closely resembles it.

 

Plus...all Rodimus' have to get their start somehwere as Hotrod!

I had to drill a holein Energon Rodimus' weapon in order to make it fit on the peg...

I know, I have some spots to touch up...but...for now...I'm just proud that I'm done with my first repaint!

Pretty good for a first repaint. I remember my first repaint was a disaster. And my 2nd for that matter.

Awesome job....the Rodimus image might come through clearer with some orange here and there, but damn nice for a first timer.

that looks pretty good man. I like his gold pin strip down the side. good masking job on the autobot logos on the arms, very sharpe :thumb
