I'd still rather not waste fifty or more bucks on a crappy, 20-year-old, less-than-fully-poseable toy. Sorry, but it's the truth of G1.

Galvatron? This is the first i've heard of this. When did this rumor began? And don't tell me it's a rumor from Seibertron.

Its a rumor from this board actually. Check the topic:

Some say...

It was too Expensive to Re-Issue in the line at the point in time that the toy line was floundering in sales.

Others say...

Hasbro was too afraid to produce this toy for fear of getting caught up in very low sales.

So all-in-all it's close to the same rumored/suggested reasoning.

I have no concrete proof, sense I don't think Hasbro ever commented on it directly.

EDIT --- "commented on it directly."

IT was referring to WHY Hasbro didn't make a Re-Issued Soundwave.

the only thing they ever officially said was "we have no plans of releasing this item at this time." This was back in the day of Comemmorative series III or IV.

Yes and at that point, Takara wasn't close to Releasing Soundwave either...Hasbro was Re-Issuing things Takara had already used the molds over again on. Hence no comments on Soundwave.

so if the line ever saw a new home and sold well, we could see a Soundwave here in the USA yet?

Yes, it is possible...But don't hold you breathe.

Cause I'm betting the G1 Re-Issues won't come back anytime soon.

why not? i dont really think Hasbro will completely end the line if we fans keep complaining about it. the other hiatus incidents were for unpopular toy lines. but transformers is classic. GI joe wasnt as big of a hit and Zoids was hardly even popular. since the models could hardly compare to gundams. but i think that hasbro wont just scrap the G1 reissues. they just need to see the light and actually release popular characters for lower prices all across the USA. not just one store that not all cities would have. Hoist and Grapple are amongst the worst TFs i have ever seen. Hoist mainly. i'd buy magnus if they brought him back for a third time. and for far less than what he cost before. but of course there's no tru in my city. that may have been another problem with bad sales. plus hasbro idiodically marketted these things to little kids who have no idea what G1 even IS! plus it never helps when their president refuses to listen and goes by his own opinions.
