Official Transformers Collectors Club Shop Open

Recommended Posts

I called them after I couldn't activate the shop account and it is NOT open just yet.  It will open in a few days.

Yes it is. Stop putting zeros in front of the month and day of your membership expiration when creating your account and it should work.

I never put zeroes in front of the day or month. I tried several times, but each failed. So I called the representative and she tried for ten minutes. She said the site isn't supposed to be up yet anyway because it is still being programmed. This is why there isn't a link on the transformerclub home page. Someone just happened to find the site early.

Huh...

I don't know then.

I didn't have any problems at all. (at least once I stopped putting the zeroes in front of the month and day, that's why I figured it was your problem too. :redface )

pretty expensive for non members, thats more than retail at regular toystores, so it wont be any better than buying at an import shop

Surprised? I'm not. There have to be some extra quirks for members.

So the benefit of membership is "not getting ripped off"?

In my opinion, those who didn't pay the fee ought to be 5h1t out of luck. I'm shocked non-members are actually allowed to shop there at all. :wtf

All the same, I'm giddy to see that they're offering Hasbro's harder to find pieces (Wing Saber, Grim & Swoop, New Alts) along with the freebie extras. I'm curious to see where the exclusivity comes in and when the members get exclusive dibs on stuff in their own section. Extremely so.

But final judgements should wait until the store is actually live, ya know? It's a moot point to start pointing out faults and strengths when none of these items are even available yet, if at all.

The article that pointed me here leaves me... distressed :redface I have to note how much I pity Jack of TFormers.com >_< He gets the craziest of the psychotic, frothing nutjob fanboys posting on his site.

and even if they did offer a club exclusive Sunstreaker... someone would still sell it on ebay for less than toy + membership pricing :tdown

Any smart eBay-er would sell it for cost + the price of membership to at least break even... :P

*thanks god for dumb Interweb n00bs :P *

BTW, I'm basing my opinion on this club entirely off of MC's operation of the GI Joe Club...The 'Joe collectors get some pretty cool stuff, albeit it can be a little pricey sometimes...

Whatever would prompt you to say something so absurd? If there was a club exclusive Alt Sunstreaker then it'd be treated just like the Botcon stuff and go for crazy prices outside of the club. Especially, considering that we'd be talking about an Alternator that the entire fandom has been yearning for since the unpainted prototype pics hits the web! o_O

I guess... but unless they limit the quantity that club members could purchase, that really only effects those of us who don't have friends on the inside *cough*SkyClonus*cough*

<_<

>_>

figures, there are no clearance products. :tdown
