Cybertron Force Chips

Recommended Posts

Okay. I'm confused by something, what exactly determines who gets what Force Chip. Planet of origin, or planet where it's first activated. The problem with both, is Prime is from Cybertron, yet his is activated on Earth, so that says, it's based on planet origin. However, Ladmine (Guardshell), Red alert, and Backpack (Scattorshot) are all from Cybertron, yet their Force Chips have the Earth symbol, so that means its based upon planet where it's activated. Yet a third problem is that even though Red alert's Force Chip has the Earth symbol, and he's from Cybertron, his was activated on Speedia.

So I'm confused, what exactly determines who's Force Chip gets what symbol?

Maybe it's determined by alt mold? I'm still not real familiar w/ the names and faces. Is Red alert an Earth based vehicle?

Red alert is an ambulance. All the Autobots from Cybertron are going to be Earth based vehicles because they want to blend in with the general populace while they hide on Earth till the black hole threatening Cybertron can be solved. With the exception of Vector Prime.

I think it goes like this:

Born on the Planet, leading to First Activation on that Same Planet

Works for: Nitro Convoy, Autolander, Skids, Landbullet, Gasket, Flame Convoy, Fang Wolf, & others.

First Activated on a Different Planet (than where they're from) after First Discovery of Process

Works for: Jack Shot, Backpack, Guardshell, Dreadlock, & Thundercracker.

Exillion and First Aid use the Earth-based chips, but first used their abilities on Speedia. I feel this is because they learned of the activation process while on Earth, meaning their powers are based on Earth not Speedia.

Faction-Based Activation

Works for: Megatron, Starscream, & Optimus Prime.

This may be this way for Prime since he has the Matrix and is Leader of his faction. The actual Decepticons use faction-based chips (not the different guys from other planets who are forced or join with Megatron).

Wow. And here I was thinking soap operas are confusing.

also hot shot who has a earth alt mode who was born on cybertron has a spedia force chip

Exhillion uses a Speedia-based chip, and Dreadlock uses a faction based Force Chip. But both were born on Cybertron, and they both learned of the process on Earth. So there's a small problem with this theory. Not to mention, where did Thundercracker come from anyway. Backpack I can understand because he scanned his alternate mode on Earth from a movie poster.

Well, I know about the decepticons...so i'll hash that out:

Master Megs and Starscream are both full fledged Cybertronians both with Alt Modes existing prior to the war and thus, both use Faction Chips.

Noisemaze uses a Decepticon chip due to his original faction of Autobot being changed at random (or some other reason) to Decepticon

Thundercracker was built/created/converted by Megs/Screamer on Earth and carries a Earth Alt Mode. He uses Earth chip. It is also activated initially on Earth.

Ground Bullet, Gasket, and Inch Up use Speedia Icons and are from the planet Speedia. They possessed their Force powers before Megs showed up. They join the decepticons.

Flame Convoy and Dinoshout are like the Speedians but are from Animatros, etc etc.

I'm guessing that Megs and Screamer keep their faction signs due to them figuring out how to use their force powers on their own, and not being taught like Excillion on Speedia.

Sadly, the decepticons are easier to figure out, but hey...those the breaks kiddos.

i think what hastak originally had in mind was for the force chips' symbols to correspond to what planet they were located on. so speedia chips would only be found on speedia, animatros chips would only be found on animatros, and earth chips would only be found on earth.

as for the cybertron chips, maybe hastak did not intend for cybertron to be swallowed by the grand black hole or maybe hastak intended for vector prime to save some of the cybertron chips and some of them were later stolen by the decepticons.

I'm guessing that it just goes by what the character's alt mode is... the only one that wouldn't work with that (as far as I can see) is Dreadrock, whose alt mode looks like it's from Earth.
