Is it just me - or does anyone get the idea that the Alt jets are scrapped - i mean that if MID-SERIES Starscream is going to be a near perfect replica of a F15 - then why make Alt-Jets??

 

Sounds like we are going to get what we want in the Mid-Sereies (between Cybertron and Movie)

Well, Hasbro said they're still thinking about it. But I'd think that if they don't have any plans in place yet, and it takes about a year to get a figure from "idea" to "shelves".... well, they may as well forget about it and wait for the movie.

I don't think it's a mere question of money. How would you like it if Alternators Starscream ended up looking cooler than the movie version? And does Hasbro have the resources to split up their designers' duties like that anyway?

The valks didn't need them. they had vernier thrusters that did that for them. As for the tomcat comparison, a site i used to frequent had a side-by-side comparison. the tomcat was 1/3 larger than the vf-1 valkyrie.
