Id be pleased to see a VW-Beetle old or new

I'm not saying Alternators is a G1 on steroids redux or anything, but it does follow G1 guidelines...

Got me thinking...who, non G1-wise, would make a good Alternator?

I don't know what he'd be, but I'd kill for a Depthcharge Alternator  :tfevil ...dunno why...

Cheetor gets thrown around alot...I've seen some Armada-inspired Alt. kitbashes...

I figure some BW characters could make some very creative Alternators...

Primal as a monster truck...

Rhinox as a Hummer...

Quickstrike as some sort of import tuner...

Rampage?

Rattrap?

I think A. Blurr with a similar but more detailed transformation would be awesome.  Especially if he kept his two huge guns.

How about a all new character. He could be a ugly yellow ricer and we could call him Decepticharge........ :tflaugh

 

Seriously though I think Armada Red alert was a real cool character. He would make a good alt. as some sort of SUV. I am not to keen on the Armada or Cybertron version of him.

Ravage was Beast Wars inspired.  Although, which was in turn inspired by G1...

The thing is, not every TF should be a car, regardless of how cool the Alts/BTs are. Part of a TF's personality comes from its alt mode IMO. Optimus Prime as a semi, Blackarachnia as a spider, Starscream as a fighter jet, Megatron as a tank (:D), etc.

 

This is the main reason why I think the G1-inspired Alts/BTs are the most successful, b/c they are the most reminiscent of their namesakes. Don't get me wrong -- I'd love to see some BW/BM characters given the Alt/BT treatment........ in terms of updating the mold and making it totally sweet and making up for flaws / drawbacks / limitations in the originals etc. But I don't want them to be cars. After a while, you start to lose the thing that made car-bots special to begin with. It's not as cool that Jazz is a sports car if everyone else is as well, if you know what I mean.
