I think I'd have to go with combiners/gestalts as my fave, especially now that I have my G1 Metal Menasor in my hands. Second would be Triplechangers, third would be headmasters, fourth would be powermasters.

 

So many dang memories......:)

 

WHY do I love the combiners so much? Replay value. Five or six transformers that combine into a cool looking big transformer.........customization for most sets......

 

I SHALL HAVE THEM ALL! I've got the aformetioned Menasor, and won G1 Computron and G1 Superion yesterday on ebay.

 

On that note........does anyone have a definitive list of G1 combiner teams? I'd like to collect them all eventually, even the rarer Japanese ones.

The early Autobot cars, from '84 and '85. I love them all. Not too fond of the post-movie cars, although Blurr was one of my first ever transformers.

I loved the tripple changers...sure they were hit (octane, Blitzwing, Springer) or miss (Broad side *shudder*) But they had tons of play value...I miss my Blitzwing...

I'll keep my eyes out for one for you, SS.

I have one. He's missing the turret, though. Still looks great in jet and bot mode.
