energon combiners question

Recommended Posts

can someone tell me what is the deal with the arm and leg sockets for superion of energon. am i doing something wrong or do they just suck?

i'm getting ready to put together constructicon (devastator). hope his sockets are different. :tflaugh1

the sockets are the same.

however on mine, there isnt a problem with Superion Maximus. well, not the sockets anyway.

what other problems do you have with superion?

i have a problem with his legs being the same length. does'nt want to

stand evenly.

Well then, you're doing something wrong, because all the E. Gestalt limbs are exactly the same length in leg mode.

The sockets on my Superion and Construction were a pain, but my Takara Bruticus is fine. Guess it's just Hasbro's lack of quality control again.

Pshhh... It's usually the other way around. Just compare the quality of the reissues.

Psst. My Stormjet's connectors are just fine, and I've heard many accounts that he's more stable (not by much though, considering that iffy torso peg) than his Superlink counterpart, Afterburner.

Too many people seem too quick to judge Hasbro on their QC, when Takara can be just as lax (or even worse in some cases, as some of their recent releases could attest to).

I've had a couple of problems with the connector pegs on the leaders. The first Barricade I had a messed up arm peg, the pin that held the connector together wasn't in all the way and that did 2 things to screw it up. first the arm, when attatched, just hung there. You couldnt position it because the pin not being in all the way made the ratchet mechanism too loose and because the peg stuck out a little further than it was supposed to the arm would fall off real easy because it really wasn't able to go on far enough to lock it into place.

I had the same problem with my Steamhammer only the opposite arm, and my nephew's Steamhammer has a problem with one of the leg connectors.

I just exchanged mine at the store and the problem was solved.

thanks for the info. i think i'll just go ahead and buy another stormjet and be done with it.

You might want to check the sockets on the limbs too. One of the little clips inside the socket on my Blight toy was severely mangled, straight out of the package. It caused the limb to not attach firmly. The only way I could figure out how to fix it was by cutting the clip out completely with a heated exacto knife.

Just saying it may be the limbs and not the body
