G2 cartoon was nevr aired where I live (or at least, I never saw it) and I am wondering myself some question abot it.

For what I know, G2 was the G1 cartoon but with added animation (in 3D). Right? But it was supporting the G2 toyline, that has some different mold and color. So sis they edited the carachter to ook like their toy counterpart, did thet constantly replaced megatron with a tank? Did they change some storyline?

No changes, whatsoever. Except for the annoying magical kube from Cybertron (or something like that) which was changing the scenes and making sounds so you have to strain what was being said. Megatron was still a gun, Optimus still had a gray trailer etc...etc...etc...

Technically, there was no actual "G2 cartoon." They just took the G1 cartoon and added a few small changes. The G2 characters never had their own show.

God I hated that thing :tfmad .. I remember they distorted scenes on purpose.. tryin hard to be cool and not doing a very good job at it.

I liked the opening...where Prime beats the crap outta Starscream.

 

Anyhoo....yeah the "G2 Cartoon" just retold a select amount of episodes including Megatron's Master Plan, Desertion of the Dinobots, and Dinobot Island while using a Compu-Generated "Cybertron Cube" that moved around and shifted when changing scenes in the cartoon.

 

Other than the opening it really wasn't too good at all.

Yeah I remember that.. he was always sitting in Prime's hand and Prime was like reading bed time stories or something.... what was it.. Optimus Prime Live or something?

 

I remember that being more assoicated with the post movie eps.. I think they did Rebirth in that format too. Wow.. memories... :tfgrin
