I'm working on a project that involves 2 ships that transform into 4 "modes" now is there anyone here who has a general concept on how Transformers "Transform" and what's workable and what isn't? I'm basically working with 2D or 2.5D animation drawings I've drawn and created as pixellations.

 

If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

try finding a TF that has a Transformation suitable to your needs, Perhapos Energon Sharkticon, or even Super Demensional Fortris?

You could always fudge it like they did in G1.

The "best" option is to use a pre-existing transformer as inspiration, but make the details completely and utterly your own.

 

Failing that, fudge it. :P
