G1 definately should have continued...at least the way the cartoon handled it. I think that Rebirth should have been a 5 parter so they could have 100 eps instead of 98, but that of coarse never came to pass.

I'd throw the rebirth in teh garbage. I don't like the idea of Transformers

combining with humans/nebulons.

Personally I think they should do a WW cartoon to have an in depth story about the TF's past. Otherwise they could reveal the TF's history through flashbacks and journeys inside of the matrix, like FFOD part 4 where Rodimus learns about the quints. I also like the episode Forever is A Long Time Coming, episodes that venture into Cybertrons past are really cool.

Throw out the Japanese series, keep Rebirth, and continue on with Optimus Prime retiring and not getting killed anymore. Hot Rodimus becomes Autobot commander again, but this time loses the whinyness that plagued the first run.

Show the evolution of 'bots and 'cons into Maximals and Predacons.

And send Sixshot into an alternate universe to take out the Armada and Energon kids. :thumb

on the uk dvds there is an interview with the writer for rebirth, it was originally a 5 parter that allowed for far greater character development and a better storyline, then hasbro decided to make the budget smaller (how small do you need to go with the crappy company that animated it) so it became a 3 parter. in my opinion takara handled their fourth series better (headmasters)
