There wasa pic of the dinobots in robot mode dione ages ago for hasbro (featured in the TF generations book) which showed a Hhasbro sign and a road sign for pawtucket. It reminded me of taht.

Since when is it a crime to have your own opinion? You guys need to cut X-Bob some slack (I can't believe I'm saying it). He's entitled to his own opinion. I think the piece looks good, but nothing's ever perfect. I also realize that it's probably just a one shot trial piece and not meant to be totally perfect.

Secondly, it doesn't matter who's on the billboards and such. So what TFans is missing. It's the artists' personal preference as to what he/she wants to add in, last time I checked. If those other sites are where Don spends most of his time, then obviously those are the sites that would be mentioned in a piece done by him. *shrugs*

Honestly, I don't see what all the hoopla is about. Just honor this art for what it is; an artists' work.

Let the fanboy's enjoy their billboards. :roll

I like Don's art and this piece is no exception. Great work Don.

Arguing over technicalities such as perspective is pretty weak IMO, something can be a technically perfect and still look like a sack of cr*p, conversly great masterpieces such as Da Vinci, Van Gough, Carravaggio and Edvard Munch's work are all lacking 'technically' so unless you are a very well acclaimed pro artist you are gonna get jumped on as art is by its very nature subjective. Personally I think the Tate Modern Gallery in London is full of garbage but some loons like it.

Technically perfect drawings are not art, they are architecture.

Basically we are all entitled to our opinions, its a great picture, may not be to everyones artistic ideals but hey if we were all the same things would be pretty boring. I personally cant wait for the void left by dreamwave to be filled.

The promo art looks great, nothing wrong with it imho.

But that's what it is: promo art. Pics like this one are meant for covers or books like Genesis.

If DDP gets it and their comics will look like like this, that's half the battle won. The other half would be getting the G-1 writers from DW and Furman for the Cybertron & War Within work.

Exactly! :thumb

I can't wait until we get some comics rolling again. I miss getting them. I mean, it's not like we can turn to the show for our Transformers story needs. CN refuses to show the rest of Energon for some reason. :roll

It's a great pic. The colouring seems a bit weird. Not sure why Prime's wearing blue panties, but it's not distracting.

Does a little more to convince me that DDP could handle the art, but since they signed Don, that was pretty much a given.

Still not convinced on distribution or writing talent though. Judging by the previous DDP Transformers output I'd rather they were kept the hell away from the franchise.

Damn! :eek I was actually thinking about bashing an atv into Ravage like the one you photoshopped in your sig! Cool! :thumb

cant honestly say i see a huge difference in Dons style

The inks arent as heavy but thats the only thing really different

the colors are great as well [aside from the miscolors] and i really like the piece

its got a great POV that really needs to be expanded upon in all TF books
