That was Tankor. Released 2000. The Tank Drone was released here in 2001. It's the same thing as what you see in that picture.

I really liked that mega Tankor though, despite it looking nothing like the toon version. When I first saw the Tank Drone I was a little bothered by it's size.. could of made it atleast a deluxe size. But I guess they kept the size down so people could amass a huge army of them or somethin.. kinda like some of those fan made terrorcon armies ala energon I've seen.

 

Never liked Silverbolt though. Cool Character, crappy fig.. IHM.

Yeah, I know... I was referring to the mega Tankor all along. That's why I used the name "Tankor" instead of "Tank Drone." Sorry for the confusion. Just, nevermind.

I agree about Tankor, the original figure was great. The only thing that bugs me about him is that you could tell his feet were originally designed to flip down in tank mode (like G1 Galvatron), but Hasbro cheaped out. Otherwise it's a great, highly articulated figure.

 

Re: Silverbolt, I dunno, I just have a personal affinity for him, and seeing that show-accurate character really makes me want to get him. The mold was always show-accurate (if small); it was the colors that were a problem.
