Yeah, these are all improvements in one way or another, I think. Plus they're repaints done right. I've never purchased a straight repaint, but if they're willing to make the effort to change the mold somewhat (like for Armada Skywarp) it makes a big difference IMO. This is how I've always thought things should be done, as long as they're going to be doing repaints.

 

Also, I'm pretty sure E-Sixshot, Quickstrike, and the Inferno/Starscream repaints are still due to be released in the near future. I want to see Grimlock & Swoop and Wingsaber first, though!

I hate Armada and all it stands for but `Buzzsaw` Cyclonus repaint looks quite cool and I fancy getting him, am I ill? ;)

And whoever said they used an actual Scorponok head on that Cyclonus mold has to be blind. Think, man...how is that large head gonna fit on a tiny body?

Anyhoo, no, scorponoc's head is not use in this. All they have to do is make another head small enough for the Cyclonus body. It's as simple as that.

WHAT!!! I am no flamer or G1 diehard, I am an Alt freak (I got em all nyahh nyahh ;)) but I have had wide interests in TFs, I buy what i think is cool. I like a lot of RID stuff, not a fan of beast formers, hate Armada and the crappy mini-cons (unicron was cool) and energon was just ...bleah But GF looks cool.

Yeah, technically, but from what I understand (and my own personal experience) he's one of the rarer figures, by far. I've yet to see one in the span of several months of active searching.

It's supposed to be GS-01 Buzzsaw and Blurr.  It's not so much the Cyclonus remold but the Blurr one that I'm excited about.  What I like about it is that they're taking G1 Blurr's head, or something similar, and putting it on Armada Blurr's body, with a new paint job.

 

Well, anybody else eager to see this guy/

Keep in mind that In Japan Armada Bluur was called Silverbolt, so this probably isn't the same guy.

Yes, I know that sometimes a mold is reused, given a new paint job and a new name, i.e. Landmine becoming Landquake, and so on and so forth. But as far as the American version is concerned, it's up to Hasbro as to what name they're going to release him under. I have yet to see a Prime mold, from G1 to Gf that's given a new paint job, AND a new name, with the exception of RiD Prime being repainted gold for Universe, and the same for Armada Prime, but that was his "final battle" colors, and they were both still released as OPTIMUS PRIME. I'm not inculding Primal, regular or TM, or Optimal Optimus, since those molds have been reused, recolored, and renamed a few times over.

Hate to say it, but even the retooled Sideswipe is lookin quite good.. anyone else seen the pics of that?

There's gonna be a retooled Sideswipe? I didn't know of that.
