Well, these are the first two official pictures of the finished RM Lio Convoy, to my knowledge:

Having never owned a Lio Convoy, this is probably my most anticipated RM release. He does look a little off, though... there's something about the lion face. It's kind of pudgy, and not as realistic as the original. Plus, who's ever seen a lion with a chin? They might just be trying to make it look more cartoonish, though, to match the show.

 

So, any thoughts? Opinions? Concerns? Am I the only one who's excited about this?

I always thought that the Leaders were always too big, just becuse, this gives me a chance for a Scailed down LioConvoy.

Yeah, I always thought Optimus Primal was too big (and of course, had no mouth), that's why I love my Beast Convoy so much. Megatron actually made morse sense being larger, but oh well. How big is the original Lio Convoy anyway? I've never seen one in real life.

LioConvoy, was as big as Primal,l and in the Show, he was just alittle Taller than his Troops, Big Convoy, seems in scale though.

Gotta admit I'm disapointed in this one. Lioconvoy's one of my favorite figs ever, and I had high hopes for the RM version. It doesn't look that great though.. and that lion head is terrible.

 

(And to answer the question, the original Lioconvoy figure stands a tiny bit taller than Big Convoy. He goes up to just about the blue Ultra Magnus "thigh" sockets on Omega Prime/God Fire Convoy's chest.)

Hmm....not bad, as Greatshot said the lion head is a bit off, but at least the bot modes chest looks better than the original.

The "chin" seems to be a Button to activate one of LioConvoy's many Gimmicks

It's probably just there to make it easier to open his mouth or something. I wonder if this one will have missiles? It looks like it could, but they'd have to be pretty small. The beast mode is actually looking worse and worse the more I look at it, with those stubby forelimbs and long, froglike hind-legs, not to mention the squinty, shifty eyes and generally unlion-like expression. At least Primal looks like a big dumb ape in the face, even if all his robot parts are showing.

I like this one, it may not be a direct retool of the original, but atleast this way I'll get him.
