Dont know if anyone else saw this over at Transfandom, but since I didnt see a topic already I decided to start one.

Apparently Marvel is Robotizing some of its more famous characters and then giving them alt forms.

Spiderman

The Hulk

The Think

Captain America

Doc Oc

Iron Man

and Ghost rider.

Personally I like the Spiderman, Iron Man, and Ghost Rider.

What do yall think will this be competition for Transformers, or just a neat gimmick that will not last out the year?

Upon Closer inspection, I noticed a few things, Iron Man and the Hulk have alot of similarities with some of the transtech drawings that are floating around the web. Iron Man resembles Starscream with the wings in the back, and the Hulk looks like that tank that I think was supposed to be Megatron.

Does anyone else see this

I wonder what scale things things are done in, the pics are kinda small so I wont judge them just yet, but I guess the idea is "kinda" cool.

reminds me of some similar figures from a few years back, the one I remember most was a Punisher that turned into a pistol. These'll probably bomb, but we'll see.

they look to be done better than some of the previous attempts, but then again, we arnt looking at actual product pics here...

cool, I'd like the Wolverine and Spider-Man ones.

when I saw this thread I was like, "oh yay..." But some of these actually look cool. Spider-Man turning into a spider (not a vehicle) is nice. The artwork definitely has that "poor man's DW" look to it that Hasbro uses on their packaging...

So my question is - Is there some diagetic reason that marvel characters are now transforming? or is this simply a toy gimmick

Well - that said, I say its a shame that they appear to have better transformation designs than many of the recent (non-alt) transformers.....

sigh

Hunter

"the lampost stands with folded arms, its iron claws attached..."

I think these look pretty good, but it will be tough to swallow these new adaptations of such well-known characters.

They look pretty good. Cap, Iron Man, and the Hulk all look pretty good to me. Have to wait until their on the shelf of course, but I would consider picking some of these up.
