Who is Hound, Side Swipe, Smokescream, Tracks?!? Who the heck are they & why isn't there a Rodimus Prime alternator figure?

dude, check out hasbro's official site www.transformers.com . all your answers are there. and as of yet, there is no word of rodimus coming out any time soon

Just hang out on that one. There are several cars just begging to be the next HotRod, '05 Mustang and '04 GTO come to mind. And of course, dont be shy about emailing suggestions to Hasbro. All it takes is one good idea in the hands of the right person and you never know.
