G1 reissue Sunstreaker? Hasbro said last year that they won't reissue anything that Takara hasn't reissued yet, so unless Takara reissues him, the odds of a US reissue are slim to none.

 

Besides, I'd rather have a Takara reissue of him anyway simply because it all but guarantees repaints, preferrable the red one and the police car one.

I think the ALT proto will see the light of day again as SS. They've been talking about how they were going to release some 'cons, so now they are making good on it. That doesn't mean that Sunstreaker won't be released or only released as a limited repaint. As far as the head sculpt, i don't get it either. Maybe that's not the head they'll use (I know there's like a 5% chance of that not being the final head but I've seen stranger things happen).

Why is everyone so obsessed with SS anyways? I, for one, think Dead End looks great.

Hmm... I don't remember if Red alert was reissued by Takara yet. I don't remember seeing him among the reissues, so there might still be some hope for Sunstreaker.

the mold is perfect for sunstreaker, and i dont think they will let that go to waste

My opinion is if people didn't put up such a stink over Decepticons, in what was decidedly a car-only Autobot line up until this point, we may very well have gotten our beloved Sunstreaker.

 

They felt they had to deliver 'cons so we end up with this kickass repaint. I'm fairly certain they'll repaint that remolded figure yet again. At the very least as an OTFCC exclusive. Hey it's a cash grab, but it makes sense so why not.

 

For the impatient the remolded figure is there for the repainting. It's like a factory kitbash just add paint. Bam. Sunstreaker. Same goes for Tracks. I realize that not every has the skill/wish to do this, but them's the breaks.

 

To me, the current paintjobs are very very easy on the eyes. :)

Ok what did I miss? Now this Viper Sunstreaker mold is going to be a Deceptacon?

WTF? Well just so Hasbro knows, I'm not into the Deceptacons that much and Deceptacon Alternators don't hold any appeal for me. I would rather have that Sideswipe remold be Sunstreaker than a piece of Deceptacrap.

Do yall seriously think this is an evil plot to keep Sunstreaker from seeing the light of day? As for complaints about exclusives being popular characters? Well no offense but DUH! You normally do something popular or hard to get as an exclusive so that it sells very well. Look at RID Scourge. He was easily one of the most popular characters in RID but he was a TRU exclusive. Every now and again you have to toss out a really choice exclusive to keep the store chains interested in buying more of your exclusives in the future.

 

As for crying about OTFCC's Sunstreaker. His price has dropped recently. Hell Sideswipe dropped down to about $30.00 at BBTS not to long ago. It's not like the toys cain't be found after the convention. That's why Joel buys them so that he can sell them to people that weren't there and make a profit. If you don't want to have to pay extra find a freind that's going to the convention and get their second exclusive or see if they will buy you one for full price at the convention. Like I said they they aren't going to use a character no one wants for an exclusive. They're always going to use a popular character or a new one that's important to a storyline.

The Deadend remold was never officially Sunstreaker. We all just assumed that it was.
