Sick of Repaints Binaltech / Alternators line?

Recommended Posts

What is the deal with all the Binatech / Alternators repaints?

I can understand a few one or two, but a purple RX-8 as Shockwave or a White '04 Mustang as Wheeljack come on!

There are plenty of other cars out there...are you listening TAKARA or Hasbro?

I mean what if the original G1 line was nothing but repaints? There would be a total of about 10 toys for both Autobots & Decepticons. Hey while your at it you might as well just repaint Starscream and call him Jetfire... LAME!

One of the things that make Transformers so Cool is the variety of the robots, as in different molds, not repaints of the same mold with a new head.

There getting lazy folks, lets not let it happen to The Best Toy Line in History!

G1 isn't the best toyline in history.

I'm taking the G1 counterparts to Wheeljack, Shockwave, and putting them next to pics of the prototypes. Hasbro and Takara aren't ruining anything, they're rectifying poor toys from the 1980's. Alternators is NOT G1. Alternators is a line of collectible cars aimed at car collectors that just happen to turn into robots representing characters they may or may NOT recall from the original cartoon. There is nothing else behind this toy line. That is the purpose of it, and the fandom is grateful for the toys, as am I. If you have a problem with that, don't buy the toys. This argument has taken up too much bandwidth on this forum as it is without another post about it.

As far as I'm concerned, Battle Ravage, Shockblast, and Wheeljack are the best Alternators.

Accually the Binaltech line is aimed collectors like myself and others that collect well made diecast toys i.e. Godaikin.

The Alternaters line is aimed at the cheep American public like yourself who shop at WalMart, live paycheck to paycheck and are drowning in debt because you use your credit card to purchase everything you buy i.e. clothes food etc.. Let me guess you rent & make car payments to...

Does this apply to Canadians?

BTW in before lock... maybe.

So where do you live? Japan? Good for you if you can afford it, you must be a doctor or lawyer. Not everyone here is rich you know.

I agree that the Binaltechs are aimed toward Japanese collectors. Since I've lived in Japan before, I know that Japanese collectors are hardcore and don't want cheap stuff. They usually don't care if it cost alot either. People in Japan don't even have credit cards. They pay everything with cash, even cars. If they can't afford it in 1 lump sum with cash, they don't buy it at all. While here in America, we have a different culture.

For the repaints, it costs alot of money for takara/hasbro to make new molds. Therefore, buy repainting it and calling it a new character, they save production costs while still ensuring new sales.

Is anybody sick of people who can't understand anything about the design/development/manufacturing process?

Where do you get off? Listen buddy, being an American doesn't make me stupid, regardless of what you think. I can tell you right now, I think you're a jerk. It has nothing to do with where you're from. I don't know where that is, I've reached MY conclusion from the post you made there.

If you've got a problem with America, fine, whatever. I don't need a metal toy that suffers from paint scratches, you do. I like being able to pay 20 bucks for a high quality toy, you'd rather pay 60. If that's your cup'o'tea, bub, then have at it, I'm not going to stop you.

I would like to see other characters turned into something other than cars, but there is no way in hell I'm ever going to tell Hasbro they might as well just quit making them. I'll take what I can, wish for more, but we have a saying here in America you might get a lot of use out of.

Dude, take that sh*t somewhere else. Your attitude is basically racist. Racism is the product of an idiot.

I'd rather be poor and open-minded, rather an idiot and wealthy.
