Seeing people rooms/collections as the backgrounds of pics like these always detract from them for me.

 

The best way to make the pix even better is to put them on a "real" background. Just get a card table, line it with a solid color or drawn background, and build two cardboard walls that match. If you're skilled in PS you can put pictures of real paces behind the battlers using the solid color method...if not just make a really simple drawing of like the entrance to the Ark or Cybertron. I garauntee you (and we) will be ooo-ing and ahh-ing ecen more then.

For example here is a very simple cut and paste...

This one is "Autobot Hide and Seek". Here, the pictures were taken without the thought of matching them later so the lighting is off, but I tried to match tem anyway using multiple layers in space, color adjustment, and adding shadows. If you take pics knowing where your light source will be in the background you can create some amzing battle shots. Now obviously this requires PS, but I'm using it as an example becuase you could just draw a simple a bckground to photo them on, and make it look much better than the typical desk, dinner table, kitchen floor setups.

 

Anybody want me to try to make one where the lighting matches? I have Tracks, Sides, Streak, and Hound. Pick one or more, poses, and a background and I'll try it out.
