There's another name that I've heard...tetrajets...but have got no idea where that's from.

Anyways...JC Penny. That means it came from Hasbro. Which means its official, even if only used once in an obscure manner.

As for the female stuff, and the other non-Seeker references in this thread, I'll leave those alone... ;)

Tetrajets i think came from DW...I could be wrong but I remember hearing that for the first time after DW announced they were getting ready to do War Within.

Terajets most likely came from Usenet, along with most the Termolalogy we use today.

Pretty much yeah. Alt.toys.transformers picked up on it since the MTMTE 3 parter has them in a 'tetragonal shape'. Hence, tetrajet.

Raksha, loving everything Con, decided to run with it. I guess it sounded better to her than the alternatives. Her people stuck with it also. It sort of stayed because of them.

Tetrajets is in no way official (I don't recall it being in DW either, but frankly, I don't pay enough attention to DW's crud to care too much) but at least the other alternatives (Jetrons, Skyraiders, Seekers) is at least semi-official or toyline official.

This still doesn't address the fact that "seekers" is the stupidest name of all time.

Oh wait, I forgot about the "wreckers."

Old news X-Dude. ;) G1 #17 was referred to ages back. And yeah, I used to be an ATTer, don't read it anymore. Back when, ages past, ATT used to be the only thing us fans had to talk to others on. It was a good old day, when everyone was in the same community, and we all loved the same thing: Transformers.

Ahhhh....

And Wreckers is still a silly name, WV. Though it has some credibility given the makeup of the race of Transformers. It's still silly though.

I was talking about "Seekers." and it was an in-joke to those who know of my "history." :D
