Well wasn`t that a shock earlier this week a repaint of MP Prime as Magnus probably w/o armor. Well at work last night I was looking at an old sketch I did and started devising how to make it close to MP. For the arms I`m going to use 1 inch sqare styrene rods. I`m going to use alot of styrene for this project and alot of figure plastic aswell(mostly for suring up the corners that will be glued). I have worked most of itout in my head and in the next 2 weeksor so I plan to work it out on paper. Once I start this I will be posting in process pics every time I do somethin so those of you who want to can work on yours simultaniously w/ me. How ever I`m also going to post the blue prints before I get started. Soif you wanted to you could possibly start and finish before me. I`m still kind of new to kitbashing so it`ll be really neat to see if this works out at least my track record so far is pretty good. And don`t worry Rodimus Prime will still be done by the middle of January I`m not going to start building this `till I get the release date and info on Ultra Magnus namely is he coming w/ an armor.

Thanks I`m going to need it this will be my first project totally from scratch but I do have a plan. Or rather I will have one once I get it sketched out.

Quik question did you measure MP Prime and did you think to use screws to connect the panels to one another for them to clamp on to hisbody?

Yes, I measured his body but I was going to have peices that seperately slid onto him and/or snaped into place

Somebody in another thread mentioned that he/she believed you could augment the original UM armor to fit the MP one. Does anybody have an MP Prime and G1 Magnus armor to get a better idea?

the original UM armor is way too small to fit on prime...

I have both and it is defimately way to small to even consider useing. I have plans made up. My plans will change the car carrier mode slightly so it will end up looking like rid magnus in some respects, while still remaining G1 magnus in bot mode with possible battle station extra I have built a cardboard mock up and it looks pretty sweet and very workable and easily done with some sheet styrene. hope your project is going well RVTS. :ab

Tell you the truth I havn`t started sketching yet but should tomorrow.
