Are you still going to collect transformers when..

Recommended Posts

I'll probably maintain with collecting the original, G1 stuff, plus Alts/BTs and MP's. Unless, like LM said, the shows get better and more interesting, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. So I'll just continue to buy and rebuy the bricks I grew up with, attaining and replacing until eventually, I have the entire G1 collection MISB, with 100% complete C9.5+ loose duplicates. Then, I guess I'll move on to BW. Maybe.

At this point in my life, i cannot imagine that my maturity level will suddenly increase to the point where i will denounce toys....

i missed out on the g1 when i was a kid, boo hoo we were too poor. so now i try to pick up whatever i can and as much as i can afford, i also like quite a few of the energon figures and i have all the ones i want excepting kicker. i think i'm too excited about the galaxy force to give up now plus all throughoput my adolescent life, when i wasn't supposed to but toys, i still would go and look. i don't think i will ever give up toy collecting until the day that every toy stinks as much as the new retro gi joes.

Man, I am never going to stop collecting, because these are more than toys to me.

It might sound silly, but to me, Optimus Prime is the essence of everything that I hope to be. He's the ultimate good guy, he does things because they're right. He has feelings and emotions. He's not a static character, he has struggles. For instance, the episode where Megatron forces him to bring Cybertron into Earth's Orbit, he struggled with that. It was the difference between destroying one planet with billions of citizens instantly, or another over a period of time. He took the route where they would have a chance, but he struggled over that decision, knowing it would hurt the citizens of earth.

He did what he had to do. He didn't like it, but he did it anyway.

So far, every variation of Prime to date has kept up this standard of Ultimate Good Guy. I'm in love with the technology, with the characters, with the very concept, but Optimus Prime will keep me buying for a long time.

Yeah, There are a lot of old guys that collect trains and stuff and cars etc... those were the best toys out when they were kids.

Its not like we're all going to change when we get older. We'll be 70 years old listening to Snoop Dog and Iron Maiden and looking at our transformer collections and wondering why we bought 7 incarnations of unicron.

And then we'll remember that the reason we bought 7 variations of Unicron is because 1, they were available, 2, He's a PLANET, and 3, He's a DARK GOD OF TRANSFORMING CHAOS! You can't get any cooler than that!

When I'm older and living with my kids, I'll fake Alzhiemers and demand they buy me TFs. Then, if they try and get me put in a home, I'll act like nothing was ever wrong, cause it won't be(I'm stellar like that), and get kicked out of the home. Oh yeah! Moochin' off my kids!

Just call me Leech. :thumb
