OK, here's my question: who, in your opinion, is the most useless character in Transformers? I don't mean the toys, I'm talking about the characters themselves from the cartoons and the comic books--any timeline will do, from G1 to BW/BM to Armada/Energon and RiD. Wheelie gets special recognition for being the worst throwaway that I can remember in recent memory for the cartoon character alone, so he's automatically given amnesty for being so annoying. Also, Skids from G1 cartoon is disqualified because he had about 5 words and 2 minutes of screen time, so there's really not much to work with.

 

My take on throwaway TF has to be Superion from the first Dreamwave G1 arc by Saraccini. He rises up, lumbers around a bit, gets PWNed by the Seekers, then dies in an atomic explosion. Really well-crafted character development there.

Tracks had 2 episodes where he was the star of the show.. 5 words and 2 minutes of screen time?? I know more about Tracks than I know about Bluestreak..

 

G1's useless bot would have to be Skids though. Can't get anymore useless than being only seen for 3 minutes and never heard. Yes folks, more useless than Gangsta Rappa Wheelie..

 

Beastwars I'd go with Terrorsaur.. been there, done that.. so un-original.

 

Armada, Lazerbeak.. plain and simple.. whatever happened to ol' cambird anyway?

The Mutants and Dinobots from the Wreckers comics. Hands down. They have this big huge setup for their big huge life-discovery missions, and then within 5 minutes they're all PWNED. Lamers.

Yeah, but everyone hates Wheelie. It's like picking on the kid who can't spell good--you laugh, but it makes you feel dirty afterwards. And besides, it's just piling on.

Reflector / G1 cartoon

 

however the uselessness of some characters doesn't really annoy me, it rathers makes me laugh :lol

I say Reflector, all the robots had badass alt modes, they were just a camera, a friggin camera.
