Mine is the first season. I dunno why, but I liked that cast and their original forms the best. Plus that season, to me, had a greater sense of wonder and unknown variables. Sure, we knew the planet was earth, but they didn't know that. And the stuff with the aliens, the floating island, etc was eerie in a fun kinda way. Anyway, what's yours? Be sure to give your reason why, of course. And this thread is not about G1 vs BW, BW vs BM, or even US BW vs Japanese BW. Personally, I don't even care if you like the series or not. I just wanna know what season was your favorite and why. So please, for the love of Primus, stay on topic. Thank you.

Season 2 here.. mostly because thats when all the cool stuff started happening. The over all feel of the series kinda picked up a bit.. where as season 1 kinda felt like it was still sleepin through some episodes. There was a TON of stuff going on.. golden disks getting jacked, BA stealing the encryption codes, dinbot's betrayl.. dinobot's death.. the sparks between BA and Silverbolt.. coming of Rampage.. the Ark.. Megs blowing off Prime's head.. I just wished Tigatron and Airrazor were more prevailant in the over all series. They were cool characters that could of used some more action before kickin the bucket..

Season 2.

Season 2 (for Agenda mainly).

I voted for Season 2, but it's almost a tie with the first Season. The Second Season edged it out barely. I love it when Dinobot has to ride on Rattrap. That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Boy that's a tough call. It's a real tossup between 2 and 3. Arrggghhh.....

 

You know, I'm going to have to pick Season 2, even though Season 3 featured two of my favorite characters, TM2 Megatron and TM2 Dinobot. Here's why:

 

Season 3 had a couple of weak episodes ("Crossing the Rubicon" and "Go With The Flow"). I wasn't too crazy about an all-Blackarachnia/Dinobot episode (I never saw how it advanced the story at all), and those monkey kids... well we all know that humans and Transformers don't mix. :P (Although I do have to say that Megatron's frustration with that cave girl as he's trying to get her to build that weapon is PRICELESS.) Stupid Hasbro nixing "Dark Glass"...

 

And I have to say that I was disappointed with Megatron's TM2 introduction (he gets a new body and gets beaten like a minute later), and the fact that it happened so late in the season. Also, Cheetor's TM2 body = ick. He looks naked.

 

On the other hand, Season 3 developed a really tangible sense of momentum -- you knew that events were leading to an ultimate climax. Very well-written. Plus Silverbolt's character really came into his own in this season.

But Season 2 is the one I think of immediately when I think "Beast Wars". Transmetals Megatron was so awesome, and his intro in "Aftermath" ("I've had a change... for the better. Yesss.") should be enough to convince ANYONE that David Kaye kicks Frank Welker's ass any day of the week. :D There was so much great character stuff that went on in that season, and plus you can't argue with "The Agenda" (despite the problems it created with G1 continuity :P). So I have to go with #2. But #3 is a CLOSE second.

(On the plus side, at least Fox Kids didn't have their hands on the Beasties at that point. Could you imagine? Bye-bye, shots of characters getting PWNED by undetected incoming missiles... those were always great :tflaugh)

I love all three for different reasons, but I think season 2 is my favorite. The characters really came into their own during this season, and the story started to take on solid shape. Megatron was revealed as the best TF bad guy to date, and Primal shaped up to be one of the best leader types that I've seen. The scene between him and Silverbolt in Primal's "office" during the Agenda was outstanding.

Season 3 for me. We got to see tons of G1 items and Rampade. The Nemesis attacking the Ark was a nice final BW image.
