New Bumblebee ideas for Alternator/New Movie

Hey guys, I think for my upgrade I love the MINI idea and always have. one of my favorite cars. I would have to be an "S" type because I'd like more power. The other idea would be a New Beetle Dune. Dont know if you guys know what it looks like but a 4x4 New Beetle. I think Cliff Jumper would have to be either a MIMI Cooper, Honda Civic SI or a Volkswagen GTI Limited edition sport with the rally seats.

When I think on what the theme was on Bumblebee when he was picked to be a VW, I think of a fun happy car, an innocent fun happy autobot.

I think 2004's version of what the 70's/80's bug was is the dodge neon. It's slogan was "hi" which was probably the fruitiest slogan ever, but right up Bumblebee's alley.

Dont even go to Neon buddy. It's a poor excuse for a happy car. Now as far as happy goes, the Mini looks like the happy quirky car. Even the New Beetle looks like the qurikey friend with the crooked smile. I know, till today I had one. They make it so happy that even the front grill is called a "Smile". ^_^

There seems to be some talk about the movie "set" in the 80's. I may be wrong, but wasn't Don Murphy just alluding to that when he said he wanted to create the sense of "magic and wonder that we all had watching movies in the 80's"?

Yayyyyy! Cheesy power rock background music, Mullets and High Top Basket ball SPAM!

Hm. We still don't know what the Neon SRT Alternator is going to be... But it looks a little... condensed from a regular Neon, almost like a bug. Visually, it looks right and the car's signature color is yellow.

However I always thought the pun of Bumblebee's name was the essential thing. I wouldn't mind him appearing in Universe or Energon/Cybertron as a bee (always thought he'd be the first one to receive experimental beast wars tech) or maybe as a Locust army helicopter. (He's a spy, the pun of his name remains intact and he has a history with helicopter-powered jetpacks.)

I realize the bee or the helicopter thing would probably only work for most fans as upgrades... But howabout this: He starts off the movie as a VW bug and gets secretly upgraded by Optimus Prime before the final battle in the movie.

As long as the VW logo never appears in the movie, I don't think the studio needs VW's permission and if he gets upgraded into another form by the movie's end (and that form is the only toy released) I think we're in the clear.

What is VW's deal anyway? I would think that they would want to have a couple of cars in the TF Altenators line up. I just got my new GTI yesterday and think that it would make a great Cliffjumper.
