Following the members-exclusive early preview in the latest TFCC magazine, the official Transformers Facebook page has posted high-res photos of the three upcoming Generations Deluxes. Now with greater clarity and detail we can see the bomb and storage compartment in Rattrap's left forearm, along with our first "official" looks at Crosscut with new face sculpt and Tankor, heavily taking after the Beast Machines CGI show model. But it wouldn't look like Tankor. Not even the original Mega toy that Mainframe almost entirely ignored when they modeled Tankor for the cartoon.

Also even though I'm pretty sure it hasn't yet been said explicitly, the indication is that the current Generations line cannot use any molds from the earlier lines because they no longer cost out for the Deluxe pricepoint. Exclusives probably skirt that since deals are worked out individually with the retail entity that'll be selling them, but for general purpose those older molds are off the table.

Rattrap is so bought. I have no clue who Crosscut is and he didn't appear on the show so he is a pass.

Tankor, oh Tankor. You are not big enough and you look no more accurate than the basic class Tank Drone for the BM line. I will most likely pick you up but why couldn't you be a voyager???

Crosscut is a (so far unseen) Lost Light crew member. Crosscut pushes the obscure end since it originated with an eHobby exclusive from about ten years ago and thereafter has only appeared in the background of a 3H Botcon comic and some small part in FunPub's Wings of Honor stories. And he died both times. But yes, this is one that might as well be an entirely new character for most people since the degree of exposure until now has been so slim.

As that iteration anyways. Crosscut first appeared in the Marvel US comics. They used that name for the Diaclone reissue and basically ended up making a new character.

I was never really into Beast Wars but I am loving the look of all the Beast Wars stuff coming out. I havent been collecting much other than Masterpiece lately, but I might go for that Rattrap. Waspinator might sneak into a spot on my Starscream display too, but I need to see him on a peg before I can make that call.
