Toys R Us Employee Problem

Recommended Posts

Get a load of this, while falling for a imaginary sale on reissue's that someone said on here that Toys R us was having today, which they didnt, I had a problem with employees. I asked if they would hold a Rodimus Prime reissue for me behind the counter while I run to an ATM real quick, they said I could use a credit card to pay for it, but I replied that they didnt give cash back and I needed like a hundred bucks for gas and other things I needed today. They said they wouldnt hold it for me, and when I asked why, they replied "If we hold the Toys for collectors like you, then there will be none left for the kids". You can imagine what immediately went through my head. This is a Toys R us that has shelves full of reissues marked 24.99- 34.99 with no discounts. There was like a hundred rodimus prime's there, but if the sale did go into effect, I could buy it now and they could refund me the difference of the sale price later. Kids arent paying 29.99 for reissues, they can pick up 3-4 energon toys for that price. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. They can keep there damn reissues and the first two alternators that they keep on the shelves. Anyone else have similar problems with Toys R Us?

i really dont consider what you just stated to be a problem, i call it you being whiney, but hey, everybody is entitled to their own opinion

if you said they wouldnt help you look for something or something to that effect, then i would agree with you, but just cause they didnt have a sale and they wouldnt hold something at the counter for you, that isnt really anything to Starscream about

That's odd. In all the times I've been there, I've never had a problem like that. If I asked them to hold something for me while I went and did something else realy quick, they said okay. Maybe it was just the employee that was the problem. Sometimes, there's just somebody with a bad attitude or they're just jerks. In that case, leave a complaint next time that happens.

he isn't being whiney, jsut moody stupid seasonal employee.

my recent problem with toys r us is that they have all those extra workers going around and asking if you need help. sure they are being nice and all, but i know its only a seasonal thing. a stupid corprate scheme to try to make the customers happy. and that bugs me, cuz its not really and honest kind of help. its a "my manager is watching me and i have to do this", kind of thing.

Wait if there are like dozens on the shelf then why did you need them to hold one for you? You could have run to the ATM and back and still be able to pick from dozens, but I could be wrong, that is just what I got from your post.

What I really find annoying about the Holiday help is they are all wondering around the isles trying to help people, but yet there is a mile long line at the two registers that are open, and 7 registers not being used.

Why do stores build so many check out stations when they only use about a third of them at any time?

And dont get me started on Best Buys new cattle line, where everyone stands in line waiting for the next register.

I find it odd too if you said they had plenty of stock, unless you meant to let it be held back for like a few months or so. Frankly put count yourself lucky that you even have shops with reissues and such, I can only dream of such here.

First of all, my problem was the comment that they wouldnt hold it for a collector like me, because then there wouldnt be enough for the kids, not the fact that they wouldnt hold it. I wanted it held because it was case fresh, unlike the others. I dont think its whining or Starscreaming when a employee holds me being a collector against me for wanting to buy a product line that is made for collectors, hence the name "Collectors edition".

Well, quite easy to solve, dont buy there, go somewhere else, buy online, use layaway, dont ask, hide stuff, take it away from kids hands, leave the aile a mess, you know, thew kind of stuff they hate.
