Thats Guiltor, a Quint creation from the 2010 Manga, he is a mock fusion of Convoy, and Megs that serves as a vessel for Starscreams Ghost. He was defieted by Galvatron and Rodimus working together.

It would be cool to have Prime and Megs toys capable of combining for the simple fact that Prime would eventually get repainted as Nemesis Prime/Scourge and then he could combine with Megatron. And they could repaint Megatron as Omega Supreme to combine with Optimus Prime. Optimus could be the main top of the Autobot one and Megatron could be the top of the Decepticon one so that Optimus/Omega and Megatron/Scourge would be able to look like completely different figures. Now that would be cool!

This was a rumor for Transformers Energon but was later disproved. What do you guys and gals think? Should Prime and Megs ever combine? Should this happen eventually in a future series? Opinions, anyone?

Now that's a pretty blastphemous thing to have happen. Megs and Optimus should never, in this time or anyother time, combine.

APOX ON THEE!!

I'm not exactly crazy about bots that are true individuals combining in the first place, so I'd have to say no.

As for "uniting against a common foe", I'm surprised no one else mentioned how they teamed together to fight Jhiaxus in the comics. If they were going to have them work together, or even combine, then doing so against Jhiaxus would be a heck of a nod to G1.

While it may have been a childhood fantasy, I'd say no.

On account that it'd probably signify a new low in Transformers when they have to resort to Prime and Megatron merging.

Sure, there are plenty of viable story options, and many of us from G1 were probably delighted when original Prime and Megs joined forces, heck, even when it almost seemed like Galvy and Roddy were gonna join forces in the movie, but... well, based on the current trend in TF quality, I'd say it'd have a better than half chance of coming off as a cheap ploy.

They did join forces on Gen 2 comics to fight Gee axe us and his legions. But all that combinin stuff....

no.

Well, when Optimus hold megatron in gun form in his hand They sort of combine, no?

well, i see two ways it could happen. but if they combined in the sense of like superlink or whatever it would probably be like when those humpback dudes and the crow-like dudes in that movie the dark drystal joined up. it would create a race of like totally new tranformers who were perfect or something.

the other way is if prime just gav up and became megatrons Starscream. but they couldnt show that in comics or tv.

As weird as it sounds... That idea really appeals to me. Somehow I see a forced fusion where the two have to cooperate or risk losing their individuality completely.

Also it might be interesting if they left the fusion changed somewhat... Prime having to learn to cope with his new dark impulses while Megatron suddenly develops a sense of compassion. It would make for a more interesting war, if you could actually feel a bit sorry for the villian, while simultaneously being confronted with the fact that everything the hero does is not absolutely in line with his boyscout training.

Or... OR.... An AU where, due to the fusion, Prime has gone unhinged and become evil. The leaderless Autobots have to join forces with the Decepticons -lead by the new Megatron- to defeat Evil Prime, who wields the power of the Corrupted Matrix...
