What if HasTak introduced Chase figures into the Waves being sent out. Like for Galaxy Force, there could be a clear, but colored Vector Prime that you could get out of every 25 Cases, but these Chase Figures could easily be bought at a Walmart if it has it for regular price.

Would you like to see something like this?

I would LOVE to see something like that. :roll

that would only lead to lots of money making on ebay for ppls that aren't even fans. ppls would find out what figures to look for and get them and charge the rest of us up the ass. :eek . hasbro should just start running contests for us like they do in japan, then at least its pretty much assured a fan wil get the toy, of coarse they might jsut turn around and ebay it to. but at least it all be up to chance about who gets them, not who wakes up in the morning and scouts out the stores.

on cool think i could think of instead of chase figures like that would be for them to package figures that aren't suppose to be officailly released till a certain date and ship them out with the normal figures as surprise figures in the shipments. imagine finding a combiner jet at the store long before anyone even knows about them, wouldn't that be fun?

It's always kinda bugged me that everything about the toy is known months before anyone has found one in a store. With that in mind, I think it would be cool if they could ship out some toys that nobody has seen pictures of. You know, like a surprise figure...

Oh dear god, no. I hate chase figures. They're a terrible horrible pain and a scalper's delight. I despise having to pay 1000% markup on something just to complete a series because the figure is rediculously rare and some Afterburner stalks the stores to get them all to resell.

Sneaking out stuff under the radar, however.. is very cool. It'd be nice to be surprised now and then.

No chase figures. Chase figures are supposedly to allow toy collectors a chance to grab really rare versions of toys they like at SRP, but it backfired and became scalper fodder, forcing completists to spend lots of money just to get the cooler repaints.

It's been hell for many obsessive action figure collectors, and being an obsessive Tfan, no way. It's bad enough that scalpers are getting shortpacked toys, let alone chase versions of them.

the idea of putting some out under the radiar seems cool also if the bring back the points thing whare you collect so many points and send off for a special repaint like a energon wepon or mini con team

Chase sux ass, period.

To actually answer the question (which I sorta failed to do in my first post) chase figures wouldn't make me buy anything unless I happened to actually see it in the store before the EBay scalpers got it.

I would much prefer the surprise figure or even some other gimmick like the return of robot points or a mail-away catalogue that comes with the figures.

Not to sound totally stupid, but what are Chase figures?

Short packed figures. Example: A figure that is packaged once per 40 other characters. So basically you have 1/40 chances of getting that fig.
