UM, from what I know it is Hasbro who does the designs and Takara the engineering. So blame Hasbro for the crap colors and designs.

That wheeljack digibash looks great. I agree with the idea for the sword splitting to become the wings. I can live with the stripes and maybe even the completely different transform to the original but the sword has no place on wheeljack. Looking at the transform, I think this would make an excellent alternator for powermaster GETAWAY if grimlock head were swapped for wheeljacks. Does anone else think that too?

People, the colors, in this case has nothing to do with G1. Alternator is a line base on real cars from their respective companies, not some aftermarket things. All alt mode are real cars.

 

Simple fact, the Mustang doesn't come in red/green stripes. It does come in blue stripes (ala the toy).

 

Complaining about HasTak not making red/green or G1 colors is just dumb. Customize it afterward if you want, but Starscreaming HasTak is stupid.

Simple fact, G1 megatron was a gun, dead, and reformated to Galvatron. Logically speaking, anything with G1-Gun Megatron in a new setting is not G1.

 

The movie is not G1. Get it in your head. They are not even going to use the same character designs. Do you think Megatron's going to be a gun?

 

I have no problem calling it Neo-G1, or G1 redux, or G2/G3, but it is not G1.

I am very sorry. I did not mean to flame you. I feel we could be special friends but do not agree with your use of the beast wars dvd collection as coasters for your g2 figure collection. Interesting again, but slightly wrong. Nice try. To your points:

 

1/ Although the line is indeed based upon real cars..there is good reason to believe that there will be G1 colours for Wheeljack.. Its called "supply and demand" and is a market force. Hhasbro has already released a blue tracks and a white meister due to this fact. Ttakara have also released a blue tracks withb optional G1 Flame sticker for the bonnet/hood, just like G1 Tracks. These are toys of REAL cars with NON-REAL paint jobs. But they are there. Deal with it.

 

 

2/ I ssem to remember older Mustangs and GT40's coming with similar 2-tone colour schemes (same design of stripes and stripes on the side of the car with the car names on). I belive there were green cars with white stripes, etc. That isnt that far from Wheeljack).

 

Also, if u check my posts there are older racing designs for the Mustang, which would also fit in with Wheeljacks design better than two stripes.

 

3/ Complaining to Hasbro is probably what made them release the blue tracks, etc in the first place.

Yellow/blue fiasco is call a screwup, not supply and demand. The flame sticker came as an additional sticker. If Takara wanted Tracks to be G1 accurate, it would be factory applied and/or painted instead.

 

Supply and demand logic doesn't work here, just look at Smokescreen. Being the first BT, instead of coming out with a G1 redeco, two realistic 2005 GT version came out instead. Nor do I see Sunstreaker coming out. I think the demand for a Yellow 'DeadEnd' is 50 million times higher than a Green/Red striped Wheeljack.

Like you said, they are the older Mustangs, and not the 2005/2006 versions.

So is the NR-A version of the White RX-8, but HasTak didn't pick that did they.

Starscreaming and Moaning for a yellow DeadEnd was just as loud. Are we seeing it any time soon (even though it came out around the same time as Tracks)? No.

Also, it was admittedly Chevy and Hasbro's decision (Hasbro picks the colors) and as many have speculated and pointed out. Also, the official reason was the plastic was bleeding through the paint (go look up OTFCC topics if you don't believe me).

 

If you don't like the official reason, than my Chevy/Hasbro reason is just as valid, if not more valid than your fans complaining for a Blue version Tracks.
